AASAA AUR ASSAM ADIVASI KRANTI
By Mangra Uraon
Millions of Vietnamese sacrificed their lives to defend their country from the attack of the mighty America. Ho Chi Minh, founder and president of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, who lead the defense of his country to the last said “…even if it takes 100 years we will fightâ€Â. What is the reason for which millions were ready to sacrifice their lives? The reason is – the love for freedom, independence, self-rule, to uphold the identity and pride of the Vietnamese.
It is worth dying for Adivasi Kranti
Independence, freedom, liberty, equality, fraternity, Justice, rights and dignity of human person, are some of the values, basing on which different philosophical, political, economic and even religious systems have been developed in different parts of the world at different period of history, and they continue to do so. To defend this value system philosophers and thinkers have been embracing death, battles and wars were fought and are being fought, revolutions and movements are being born. These values are so precious for people of all times that millions and millions have sacrificed their lives for it. To defend or uphold these values different leaders have advocated and used different means. Some like Lenin, Ho Chi Minh, founder and president of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, have used violence, while others like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Junior, have used generic drugs without prescription means of non-violence, but the goal is always the same to defend this value system.
What is Adivasi Cause or Adivasi Kranti ?
To understand really what Adivasi Casue is or what Adivasi Kranti is, we need to know the naked realities (basic facts) about the Adivasis of Assam at present. –
? Indian Government does not treat the Adivasis of Assam as equal to the other citizens of India, since it does not recognize our constitutional rights of being scheduled. Government treats us as lesser human beings.
So the Adivasi Kranti is to make the government recognize that Adivasis are equal like any other people.
? In the tea industry of Assam, we the Adivasis of Assam are still slaves. The reality is that vast majority of the labourers from generation to generation continue to work just for their basic needs (food, house and clothing) and nothing more. From every sense, the conditions of our people in Tea gardens are going from bad to worse. The biggest tragedy is that we fail to recognize this slavery system, because it is quite well dressed with the suit of the modern freeman. There do not seem to be any future for the Adivasis in tea industry.
So the Adivasi Kranti is to liberate every Adivasi from the slavery system of Tea Industry.
? We the Adivasis of Assam, are still helpless and unorganized society. If we were powerful and organized, then lakhs of Adivasi victims still living in the relief camps of Kokrajhar, even after 10 long years, with absolute bleak future, would not have been there even now.
So the Adivasi Kranti is to make the Adivasis of Assam, a powerful and well-organized society, which will not only settle the problems of Kokrajhar but it will see to it that such tragedy never repeats in future.
? Vast majority of the Adivasis of Assam are poor, illiterate, exploited, marginalized, resigned to the present plights, consider themselves weak and backward, afraid, lack confidence to come up in life.
So the Adivasi Kranti is to instill in our people the self-Confidence and the Courage to transform the present plights of the Adivasi society.
? We the Adivasis of Assam do not have any mechanism of SELF-RULE. We do not have land of our own, call it Adivasiland or Adivasisthan. We have not even worked out a political system (like autonomous council, satellite autonomy, autonomy under 6th Schedule etc.) by which we get our political identity, and also our due share from government for the development of our people. Speaking from constitutional points of view we are totally neglected by government. Then where is our political identity as Adivasi society?
So the Adivasi kranti is to create a mechanism of Self-Rule for the Adivasis of Assam.
? We the Adivasis of Assam are losing our land at an alarming rate. After the pre-planned attack on the Adivasis of Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon and Dhubri we lost thousands of acres of land. In different parts Assam our lands are being systematically snatched by small tea growers, dalals, and chits. If this continues very soon we will become landless in Assam, and our political identity will be in greater danger.
So the Adivasi Kranti is to stop this process of land alienation of Adivasis and begin the process of acquisition of lands.
? We, the Adivasis of Assam face tremenduous identity crisis Our language, culture, traditions, art and craft, songs and dances, festivals and folklores are getting destroyed at a faster rate than we can preserve and promote them. Most of the Adivasis consider our Adivasi culture and tradition as inferior.
So the Adivasi Kranti is to make the Adivasis of Assam feel proud in recognizing themselves as Adivasis, and recognize richness and value of our great Adivasi culture and tradtion.
In the face of the naked realities or the facts of the Adivasis of Assam, what is Adivasi Kranti or Adivasi Cause? Perhaps what Abraham Lincoln has stressed so strongly aptly describes what Adivasi Kranti could be – “I leave you, hoping that the lamp of liberty will burn in your bosoms until there shall no longer be a doubt that all men are created free and equal.” Therefore, Adivasi Kranti is to believe in the truth that all men are created free and equal, and the goal of our Kranti is to translate this truth of Liberty (freedom), Equality and Fraternity into reality for the Adivasi society of Assam. It means fighting against all forms of inequality, marginalization, deprivation, injustice, exploitations etc. which are keeping the Adivasi society backward and poor. It is a cause worth dying for. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the former President of South Africa, the anti-apartheid activist, and universally recognized hero of freedom fighter, said “I have fought against white domination and I have fought agaisnt black domination. I have chersihed the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opprtunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.†To realize his edeal he had to suffer imprisonment for 27 long years.
Martin Luther King, who led a mass struggle for racial equality that doomed segregation and changed America forever said “And I submit to you that if a man has not discovered something that he will die for, he isn’t fit to live.” For the Adivasis of Assam, Adivsi casue is a worthy casue to live for and die for. That is why Napoleon Bonaparte said “It is the cause, and not the death, that makes the martyrâ€Â
The main purpose of AASAA movement is to carry forward this Adivasi Kranti. Experts and researchers on movements and revolutions point out that in any revolution 3 factors play major role, that is, i) intelligencia, ii) the leadership and iii) the people play. Intelligencia refers to a group of thinkers in a society who provide an ideology (based upon certain value systems), which is in reality the moving force behind the revolutions. Clearer and stronger is the ideology of a group greater will be the impact of revolution. It is the ingelligencia which moves and motivates both the leaders and the people. Leaders also play role in intelligencia. Hence leaders have a very great role in the success of a movement or revolution. Hence in this article I would consider the serious duties, obligations, responsibilities which AASAA leaders have to shoulder in order to accelerate Adivasi Kranti to the climax, and also to become aware and avoid the real dangers that could kill the Kranti. Therefore the future of the Adivasis of Assam is in the hands of the leaders. Leaders can make or break the society. We need self-sacrificing leaders, who rise above money and power.
DANGERS TO ADIVASI KRANTI BECAUSE OF LEADERS
Important lesson to learn from Adivasi History
Zharkhand movement is one of the oldest movements in India. It took us nearly half a century to realize the demand of a separate state. One of the major reasons in delay is that Adivasi leaders were bought by other non-Adivasi, more wealthy political parties or business group – who divided the Adivasi leaders and the Adivasis of Zharkhand for their own vested interests. Even after Zharkhand was recognized as a separate state which is supposed to be for the Adivasis – we are not in a position to rule the state, but our leaders are dancing according to the drums of other political parties. One of the reasons is once again the same, that is, some of our leaders are sold and allow themselves to be controlled by others, for their personal gain, rather than the cause of the people. A similar type of situations is emerging in the present political scenario of Assam Adivasis. If we, the leaders are not sold then we can do a lot of good for the Adivasis of Assam. But if we the leaders are sold then not only we deprive the people of the big share of benefits and rights from the government but we divide the Adivasi community, people loss faith in Adivasi leadership and in the Adivasi organizations, especially here in this case in AASAA. The end result is very serious, and it is as serious as a crime. Can we the adivasi leaders of Assam be so blind so as not to learn from history and commit again the same historical blunders (mistake)? Even if some of us do this mistake, it is the duty of other leaders, as well as rest of us in the society to correct them and to warn them because whole Adivasi society cannot afford to allow a handful of leaders selling the Adivasi cause. It is worse than a case, in which we silently observe a group of Adivasi dallals, literally selling Adivasi girls for the prostitution market.
Compromised life of the leaders is against Adivasi Kranti
We the leaders who are leading a compromised life will not be happy with ourselves, sooner or later people will come to know our real colour, we will lose respect and love we enjoy form the people. When leaders compromise the Adivasi Cause to get some financial gain, or political power they are going against the very cause for which we have become leaders. We are leaders because people follow us for only one reason that that we are fighting for Adivasi Casue. If people loss faith in us then we are no longer leaders. We are selling away the Adivasi Casue. We are smuggling with our people.
One of the major reasons why genuine radical groups (what we call the militant, underground) are born in society is to clean the society for the corruptions done by the wealthy and the leaders. It is the responsibility , duty of adivasi intelligencia and other Adivasi leaders and raij (people) to correct, warn and re-orient such leaders.
It is very strange to note that a powerful personality like Profula Kumar Mahanta, who led the most powerful student movement in India, under whose leadership AGP was formed, ousted the congress government and ruled Assam as Chief Minister, has become almost a non-entity in Assam. The reason for his tragic downfall is again undue greed for wealth and pleasure. If we turn the pages of world history we will come across many examples like P.K. Mahanta. On the contrary, there are many examples like M.K. Gandhi, cialis cheapest price Nelson Mandella, Martin Luther King Junior, who became Mahatma and immortal in history and in every human heart, precisely because they sacrificed their very life, and what they had – their time, talents and wealth. We the Adivasi leaders are writing our history and the history of Adivasi society with the kind of life we live. We need to learn from history and avoid the bad examples and follow the good ones, only then can we achieve the goal of our Adivasis Kranti. It needs a lot of dedication and sacrifice from our part.
Immature and destructive political involvement
No one would disagree to the fact that the objective and the purpose of our movement will be finally realized through political bargaining. One of the major purposes of our movement is to maximize our collective political bargaining capacity. Immature involvement in politics can do great harm and can in fact destroy the very movement and Kranti we are leading. The followings are some of these dangers.
1) Identify AASAA-Movement to any political party
It is one of the surest things that no political party can be the sole-saviour of a community (group of people). The political parties pay attention to a group of people when it has sufficient strong bargaining capacity. When we identify AASAA movement to a political party directly or indirectly, we loose the support of those Adivasis who do not support this particular party. So there is division among us and our bargaining capacity is reduced to minimum.
2) Money Power in Politics
Abraham Lincoln showed his real wisdom in this matter when he said, “The money power preys upon the nation in times of peace and conspires against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy.” Money can cause fights and division in a family, in friendship, and in organizations.. This becomes very clear just before and during the election. This time reveals the real character of leaders. AASAA leaders will be promised and lured with jobs, a big sum of money, or contract work. Being tempted by these there is danger that some of the leaders may support some political parties directly and openly – again this brings division in the movements, weakening th collective bargain capacity, losing the trust of the people, as result we kill the Adivasi Kranti.
c) The Balanced Position
The balanced position may be this, to do the political bargaining on the issues of Adivasis of Assam, not so much in terms of immediate gratification (satisfaction of need like food, money, constructions) but in terms of policies (laws), which will benefit Adivasi society now and in the years to come. The best political bargain should consist in changing of laws and regulations, which are keeping the Adivasis exploited, marginalized and backward, and demanding the enforcement of new laws, regulations and policies, which will be favoring the all-round development of the Adivasi community. Unity and focus on Adivasi Kranti is the most important thing to be preserved and promoted, is the measuring yard, is the criteria on the basis of which all decision are to be taken by AASAA. Those who stand for truth and justice there is hardly possibility of taking a wrong decision, wrong step. Gandhiji proclaimed fast unto death to preserve the unity of greater India (before the division into India and Pakistan), and the Hindu-Muslim unity. Preserving the unity of the different states of USA was the top priority for Abraham Lincoln, and that is why he said “My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause.” So at this time of history of the Adivasi movement, which is headed by AASAA is to preserve our Adivasi unity at all cost because without this unity Adivasi Kranti and movement will fail.
d) Formation of Adivasi Political Parties
Perhaps, time is not yet ripe for us to float a political party of Adivasis. This needs a lot more experience, ground work, preparation, consultations, debate and discussion with different Adivasi organizations. Most of all we need to educate and prepare our people for it. Adivasi kranti and movements should help in preparing and forming leaders, who would be able to shoulder the responsibilities of forming and leading a political party of our own.
WE THE ADIVASI LEADERS WILL DO EVERYTHING TO MAKE ADIVASI KRANTI A SUCCESS
1. ACHIEVEMENTS AASAA IN THE PAST HAS BEEN GREAT
What we have achieved through AASAA movement so far is great. From no entity to being one of the most powerful student organizations in Assam, is no small achievement. The AASAA movement has created an Adivasi Identity in Assam and outside. It has achieved a name. Now it has considerable influence on district and state administration and to some extent on center. The Adivasis of Assam are now beginning to feel proud to call themselves Adivasis, It is making the Adivasis more conscious of their rights, of their powers, of their culture and identity. What we have done so far gives us a clue, an indication as to how much more we can do.
In these achievements each leader has played a role be it major or minor, with countless sacrifices, facing boundless challenges and threats. As the Adivais community thanks you and congratulates you for this success it would like to tell you proudly that your participation and contribution in this great struggle is creating A GREAT ADIVASI HISTORY, and leading to A GREAT ADIVASI REVOLUTION, ADIVASI KRANTI.
2. BUT WITH BETTER TEAM WORK AND BETTER PLANNING, WE CAN DO STILL GREATER THINGS
Individually we are doing good and great works, some of the district and regional units are doing very excellent work too, but as a team we can do still greater things. When we look back it becomes clear that our success depended on our TEAM WORK and HARD WORK. From past experience we know that when we organize programs – be it agitational, cultural or sport – our Adivasi people do come, they do help us with funds, therefore all what we need is to PLAN PRACTICAL PROGRAMS.
3. NOW IS THE OPPORTUNE MOMENT
Now we are at a very historic, most challenging moment of the life of the Adivais community in Assam. From many points of view it is the most opportune moment for the Adivasis of Assam because the Adivasi community has become more conscious and supportive of our cause and movement – more and more Adivasis participate in protests, rallies, public function; many young and energetic adivasi leaders are emerging; many organizations like government administration, political and religious organizations, NGOs etc. seem to be favoring and sympathizing our cause. We can witness the birth of many new adivasi organizations with determination to work for the Adivais community. And there are host of other things, which tell us that it is really an opportune moment.
4. THIS OPPORTUNE MOMENT DEMANDS GREAT AND HISTORIC DECISIONS TO BE MADE
We the leaders have to make such decisions that will change the life of the Adivasis of Assam forever for the better. It is an opportune moment to plan together, and unite together, to intensify the movement, the revolution – Adivasi Kranti with ever-greater zeal. Our failure to make a wise and practical decision at this moment of history may leave the Adivasi community neglected, backward, exploited, robbed of their honor and dignity for centuries, for which you and I alone will be responsible and we cannot blame anybody else. Sometimes we blame our leaders in the past – that ‘were they little smarter, little more demanding, a little more committed, our situation would have been much better’ today. Today, when opportunity is knocking at our doors we cannot afford to miss it and become cause of blame for the generations to come.
Now we have better experience, better contact, better network, better communication, in better positions, better influence and everything better than when we started. So surely we can do better job in making AASAA movement a real success.
5. A CLEAR GOAL, A DEFINITE PLAN (AN IDEOLOGY) IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR
Very often we fail to give a lead to our society – because we ourselves do not know where, how, and when to lead. ‘ what exactly we want to do for the Adivasi community today? (the goal, the definite plan) where exactly we want to lead it? What means do we adopt to achieve our goals? whom should we involve in our struggle? How can we involve and motive the adivasi community so that they are ready to die for our ideology or cause? How can we make AASAA the dearest name in every Adivasi heart and adivasi home. When we have answers for these questions we will surely succeed.
Today the world is ruled by ideas, plans made by some individuals. We need the clarity of our goal, our aim, our vision, our dream. Shive Khera, the founder of Qualified Learning Systems Inc., USA, an educator, business consultant, much sought after speaker and successful entrepreneur, the author of many inspirational book like You Can Win, says “goals gives a sense of directionâ€Â. The young world famous author and motivational speaker Arindam Chaudhuri says “The World stands aside to let pass a man who knows where he is going†When we have clear goal we can achieve practically anything. Systems will be created; government policies and constitution will be changed to accommodate our genuine demands – because constitution represents the will of the people. All of us have talents for different things and when we put our heads together – the clarity of our goal will emerge, the motivation and cooperation will come, and money and means will flow. To put it on a nutshell, TOMORROW’S DESTINY OF THE ADIVASI COMMUNITY OF ASSAM DEPENDS ON THE RIGHT DECISIONS WE MAKE TODAY, AND THE RIGHT DECISION DEPENDS ON OUR SOUL SEARCHING AND SINCERE EVALUATION OF WHAT WE HAVE DONE AND WHAT WE ARE DOING. ON THE BASIS OF THIS EVALUTION, THERE IS NEED OF PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE COURSE OF ACTION. THIS WAY WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER IN SINCERITY AND COMMITMENT WE CANNOT GO WRONG. THER IS NO REASON FOR FAILURE.
6. WE HAVE GREAT RESPONSIBILITIES
The blood of the dying Adivasis of Kokrajhar and Bongaigaon has given birth to AASAA to liberate the community from every bondage and slavery. If you and me, the leaders, who know the real reason for our backwardness, our exploitation, we who feel for the community, if we do not do anything today for the society whom can we expect to do?
The cries of the homeless and landless, hungry and dying, the sick and suffering adivasi victims of Kokrajahar beckon us to restore their lands, home, their honour and dignity. The exploited and neglected, beaten and life-drained-out Adivasis of the Exploitative tea industry cry for our help. There are hundreds of problems in our society for which they look up to AASAA.
The development of our rich culture, and beautiful languages, our great tradition and customs, our active and full participation in politics, games and sports, the progress and development of our art and literature, depends on each one of us (AASAA).
Adivasi community looks up to AASAA for solution of the problems of the community. So we have great responsibility, great obligation, duty bound. And we cannot shrink from our responsibilities.
We play a great role model. What we the leaders do today tomorrow it will become a tradition. Hence it is so important to present our younger and ermerging leaders with best of examples and models. We cannot afford to neglect this great chance of leading this great rising, awakening and revolution – the ETIHASIK ADIVASI KARNTI.
7. FOR THE SAKE OF GREAT ADIVASI CAUSE WE CAN OVERCOME EVERY CHALLENGE
Of course there are lot of challenges from within and without – sometimes we do not get the cooperation of the other leaders, there are rivalries, financial problems, great risk to our life, people do not seem to appreciate the risk and sacrifices we are making for the community, our friends and team members do not seem to understand. But the good news is that all these problems can be solved through genuine dialogue and discussions. For the sake of the Adivasi cause we will appreciate and congratulate the great things we have done, and for the sake of Adiviasi cause we will forgive and forget our failures and shortcomings. Our petty and personal differences, conflicts etc should not stand on the way in carrying forward our great Adivasi cause. Rather these differences are nothing in comparison to the great Adivasi casue we are fighting for, the Adivasi Kranti we are leading.
If some conflict took place or differences of opinion arose with some leaders with regard to ideology, policies on organizational matter because of which if some of us feel we are unable to give our full support to AASAA, then for the GREAT CAUSE OF THE ADIVASIS, We are duty bound to settle or clarify these matters, or contribute our own ideas and inspirations so that our Adivasi society makes progress. Let us always keep in mind that we work for the great Adivasi cause and not for any individuals.
8. NOTHING CAN STOP US FROM CARYYING FORWARD OUR GREAT ADIVASI CAUSE
God is always on the side of the exploited and marginalized. So we can be sure that God is on our side. He is guiding our destiny, all what we need to do is to listen to his inspirations and guidance – which he truly reveals in sincere groups discussions and planning. And if God is with us who can be against us.
We know the problems of the Adivasis are complicated and there are no easy solutions. But this does not mean there are no solutions to them. Indeed, we sincerely believe these problems have solutions; AND WE ARE GOING TO SOLVE THEM. The problems of the negro-slaves in America were much worse than us, the problems of the Jews in the world were much worse than us, millions of them were killed, they had no homeland of their own, it looked like they would be exterminated from the face of the earth, even in such situation of utter despair – David Ben-Gurion caused the birth of a new nation state (Israel) that altered the destiny of the Jewish people  and the Middle East
Crisis, problem etc are only signs of that call for a change, for better situation, for improvement, for social transformation, and IT CAN BE REALLY DONE – THROUGH DEBATE AND DISCUSSIONS LEADING TO NEW DECISIONS. Great personalities and organizations in the world were born out of great problems, disasters, crisis. Great nations have grown, and advanced because they were ready to pay the price of their lives, they fought for their freedom, they took immeasurable risk and adventures. What price are we ready to pay to make our society developed? Or is our JAITPREM so shallow, skin-deep that we are not really prepared to sacrifice our time or resources for the Adivasi cause? Can I call myself a JAITPREMI when if I sit blissfully at home unconcerned about hundred and thousands of my own Adivasi brothers and sisters who are dying out of starvation and sickness in the relief camps, when they become victims of our enemies’ guns, treated like slaves and animals in tea industry. Can I worthily call myself an Adivasi leader then?
9. SUCCESS OF OUR TEAM WORK DEPENDS ON EACH AND EVERY MEMBER OF OUR ORGANIZATION
In developed countries of Europe and America – workers more than ever have strong unions and movements and they call strikes, demand for their rights – then how much more we need to do when most of our rights are violated.
Our exploiters and (enemies) are having better and smarter plans, they have better organized themselves to further exploit us, make us more dependent – then how can we remain in isolation, and watch passively. It is high time that we organize and unite ourselves better so that we put an end to the age-old oppression and exploitation.
Our success and our strength lie on our teamwork, which empowers and strengthens our individual capabilities, talents, and intelligence.
10. ALL OF US CAN BE MOVERS
Nothing moves by itself, until somebody moves it. The present condition of the Adivasis of Assam will change only when we begin to change them, when we begin to move them. And we can do so better and faster ONLY WHEN WE COME TOGETHER TO PLAN TOGETHER AND WORK TOGETHER. And the Good News is that all of us can be movers of our Adivasi society.
11. THE GREAT DANGER
It is a fact of life and we know from our experience that when we do not have any DEFINITE PLAN for ourselves we waste our time, our talents, and our energy and resources, which are so precious. This is much truer for our organization like AASAA. There is still greater danger – when we do not have DEFINITE PLANS AND PROGRAMS we are bound to lose the confidence and the trust of the people, people become disinterested and disoriented, our organization weakens, and perhaps it will take much more time to restore, to rebuild it than it took for building it. DEFINITE PLANS AND PROGRAMS are must to build up the momentum in order to reach to the climax of our revolution.
12. THE JOY AND SATISFACTION OF FIGHTING FOR ADIVASI CAUSE
Apart from the many tangible results and achievements we will have, the sheer thought of genuinely dedicating our lives for a worthy cause, a just cause, – the great adivasi cause will give us inexplicable joy and satisfaction, fill us with sense of pride and achievements, will enhance the meaning, beauty and value of our lives, which perhaps nothing else can provide for an Adivasi. This perhaps was the greatest source of strength and consolation for the great leaders of the world who sacrifice whatever they were and whatever they had for a just and worthy cause.
13 CHALLENGE TO IMPROVE OUR PERSONAL AND FAMILY LIFE
If we want to transform our adivasi society one of the most effective way is to become model leaders, model parents, model family for our society. This demands more planning, hard work, trying new side business and income source etc – and we will be motivated to do all these because we have greater and more worthy cause, because we have more noble and more sublime ideals. In this venture, we become source of inspiration, support and encouragement for each other. This in turn will become great models for our children and the generations to come. It is always possible to have a balance between family responsibility and social responsibility.
14 NEED OF RENEWAL AND REDEDICAITON
As human beings sometimes we fail and falter. In working or leading our society too we lose sight of our vision and goal, but what is important is that we renew, rededicate our commitment to our society. In fact, it will be a big failure and a gross mistake if we fail to renew, rededicate our commitment to our great Adivasi cause.
15 AN ATTITUDE OF OPENNESS TO THE NEWER, AND MORE EFFICIEENT WAY OF DOING THINGS
It is true all of us have our own convictions, our style, and system of doing things. But the latest discoveries, emergence of newer and the latest and the more efficient way of doing things in scientific discoveries, in working for people’s development and people’s movements, in system of government, in education, in training of sports and games, in medical science, in transport and communication, in the field of business and commerce etc only go to prove that THERE ARE ALWAYS NEWER AND BETTER, MORE EFFICIENT AND MORE EFFECTIVE WAYS OF DOING THINGS unknown to us. If business personnel and professionals are coming together many times in a year to upgrade themselves, to train themselves, TO PLAN TOGETHER with the newer, the better and more efficient way of doing things, then how much more we ought to do so. Our success depends on coming together as a team, sharing and listening with this attitude of openness to the experience and convictions of our team members, healthily debating and discussing, and finally chalking out a most practical plan.
Perhaps our biggest drawback is our failure TO COME TOGETHER AND PLAN TOGETHER. So if we take care of our biggest drawback we will have our greatest success too.
WE SINCERELY BELIVEVE THAT IN WHATEVER POSITION WE ARE WHATEVER WORK WE DO, HWEREEVER WE ARE – THERE IS ALWAYS POSSIBILITIES TO DO SOMETHING FOR ADIVASI CAUSE ALL WE NEED IS A WILL TO DO and A PLAN TO DO.
May all the AASAA leaders be charged with the fire of Adivasi Kranti, and they in turn will inflame every Adivasi in every nuke and corner of Assam till the purpose of Adivasi Kranti is achieved. Let us convince and remind ourselves that freedom and rights are not granted freely on the contrary they are bought with a price, and often with the price of the martyrs’ blood. If Adivasi freedom fighters like Sidhu-Kanhu, Bir Birsa Munda, shed their blood for Adivasi Cause, then should we, their sons and daughters, be afraid to sacrifice our lives for Adivasi Casue?

Dear Biswajit Minj,
Thank you for your comments. This will not be in the file. You have touched our and milions of hearts. Please keep writing and send the details about this incident to joharadivasi website.
You know that pen is more effective and powerfull weapen than guns and danda of police. Written message reach and affect milions of people at the same time.
I am following the news and development of this incident on joharadivasi and other news. I have many thoughts but I do not find words to express it, because I am deeply hurted by this incident.
How can this happen to adivasis again and again? First Kalinganagar then Nandigram and continues in Guwahati. I think this is because people do not understand us and know the reality of adivasis which Mangra Uraon is trying to explain for adivasis and the people of the world. Am I correct?
To come down to Assam and see the situation is not possible for all and we should help each other from anywhere and by whatever means. Tell us what do you wish and expect from us adivasis, if you are not agree with Mangra Uraon.
Our religion, culture, language and where we live should not be obstacle in our struggle and unity. We should not be divided at this time for our survival and existence.
I couldn’t understand some parts of this article AASAA AUR ASSAM ADIVASI KRANTI, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
It moved me while going through it.Keep it up it’s a great work. All the best n good luck.
It was the first time I read this information. It really brought me lot of joy that this website have been created to create more awareness among our adivasis. I wish it will grow more and more and finally help us all to unite with all the adivasis of assam. Johar. wish you all the best.
