Importance of preserving language
It pains my heart I see, hear about the present status of our own mother tongue. People living in towns, cities fail to acknowledge the importance of monther tongue. It is a great gifts to us from our ancesters who were illiterate yet they knew it’s great value. We are responsible if our language get extinct from our society. “bhasa hamar aayo eka bachaik koshis karab” Language is our identity let us do preserve our dilects and promote for our future generation.

You’re right language is our identity.Parents are more responsible for it.If the parents don’t talk in their own languagae in the family how can their children learn the language. It’s the parents only who can impose upon it to the youngestrs.I have noticed particularly in the eduacted mass even if they knoaw the language theay feel shy to speak in the public places. It’s we only reponsible for loosing our language. Thanks for raising the issue.
Only sky is our boundary. We can easily preserve our language and culture. Only we have to use it in our daily existence. A lot of efforts are being taken by many individuals and groups for preservation of our identity. Only we have to support them sincerely. We can establish formal/informal primary schools in our locality for our language. Language drama will certainly attract our folk. We can give small incentives for speaking in Santali, Kurukh, Mundari, Ho, Kharia, Kurmali etc. We can write, discuss, and publish our opinions on the subject in media. A collective effort will definitely augment the preservation of our identity. Only a determined will can achieve the goal and surely there will be no boundary but open sky.
